Why Choose Baby Pink

Hot Pots and Pans Will Not Scorch It No resin holding the slab together, so a pan straight off the burner will not scorch it the way it would engineered quartz.
The Quietest Pink We Carry A fine even blush grain that reads almost plain from across a kitchen, where Pink Porrino is bold and chunky.
Affordable ₱2,800 per sqm on the Cagayan de Oro list, with the same heat tolerance and outdoor life as granites costing twice as much.
Quarried, Not Manufactured Cut from one block rather than blended in a factory, so each slab still carries the geology of the ground it came from.

What Is Baby Pink Granite (G681)?

A fine blush grain that reads almost plain.

Baby Pink is a Chinese granite in a soft blush tone, made from very fine pink, cream and gray crystals with small black flecks spread evenly among them. The grain stays tight and uniform right across a slab. Its quarry code is G681.

Gentle is the word for the pink, not obvious. At standing height this reads as a warm pale counter, and the colour only declares itself up close, or when something cool and white is sitting beside it.

The grain has no direction, which keeps fabrication simple. A slab can be laid whichever way the room wants, and that hands us room to move when we place a seam.

At ₱2,800 per square meter it sits among the more affordable granites on the Cagayan de Oro list, and a pan can come off the burner straight onto it, which engineered quartz will not tolerate.

How Do You Clean Baby Pink Granite?

Three habits that keep a pale granite clear.

1

Blot Spills and Drips Promptly

A pale porous granite puts an oil mark on display, and a grain this fine and even gives it nowhere to hide. Catch cooking oil, butter and salad dressing where they land instead of leaving them until the cooking is done.

2

Use Only Granite Cleaner

Bleach and the acidic sprays sold for bathrooms strip the seal and bring the next application forward. A pH-neutral stone cleaner lifts grease and leaves what is underneath alone.

3

Never Scour It

Steel wool, abrasive powders and scouring pads leave permanent scuffs in a polish. A plastic scraper takes off anything dried on without marking it.

Sealers and cleaners matched to this stone sit on the shelf at our CDO yard, so nobody guesses in a supermarket aisle. The wider stone care range is worth a look first.

How Do You Care for Baby Pink Granite?

One seal, an occasional check, and one thing never to do.

1

Seal It on Installation

The counter wants sealing once it is in place and the dust has settled. Our crew handles that as part of the fit, and on a pale granite it decides whether the first oil spill becomes permanent.

2

Reseal as Needed

Leave a few drops of water somewhere out of the way on the counter for fifteen minutes. Wipe them off, and a darkened patch underneath means it is due — a wipe-on, wipe-off evening. Once or twice a year is the usual rhythm, and that is a guide rather than a schedule.

3

Never Sit or Stand on It

Granite is hard, not flexible, so an unsupported overhang can split under someone’s weight. Fetch a step stool instead of climbing onto the counter.

Is Baby Pink Granite Good for Kitchen Countertops?

Yes, in any kitchen where you keep the sealer honest.

Yes. The chemistry is silicate, so acid finds nothing to bite on. Calamansi, vinegar and wine leave the polish exactly as they found it, where a marble would go dull in seconds.

Heat is the clean win over engineered quartz. Nothing inside a granite slab burns, so a pan can travel from burner to counter and will not scorch the surface. A trivet is still worth using, because any stone can crack if the temperature change is sudden and extreme, though one careless moment will not cost you the counter.

Be realistic about the surface itself. A fine, pale, even grain conceals very little, so crumbs and water marks turn up here more than they would on a coarse or dark slab. Nothing is being damaged; the counter simply wants wiping more often to look its best.

Sealing is the real obligation and it has its own section below. Skip it and oil will darken the stone; stay on top of it and this is a thoroughly practical surface.

Does Baby Pink Granite Need Sealing?

Yes. The answer does not carry over from another granite.

Yes. The stone is open enough for oil and wine to seep in, and against a blush ground the patch that follows is obvious. Sealed, it turns both away and behaves like any other easy kitchen surface.

Colour predicts nothing here, in either direction. Marigold is a light brown granite and asks for no sealer at all, while Black Impala is dark and does want one. Checking the specific stone is the only method that works.

In practice that is one application when we install it, then the water test twice a year at most. That is the entire commitment, and it is what a natural stone charges for taking a hot pan without flinching.

Baby Pink vs Our Other Warm-Grained Granites in Cagayan de Oro

Four stones at two price points, separated by grain and tone.

Baby Pink is the finest and quietest

A tight, even blush grain that reads almost plain from across a room, at ₱2,800 per sqm. Take it when you want warmth without pattern and the softest colour of the four.

Pink Porrino is the same colour, much bolder

Pink Porrino works salmon feldspar into large chunky crystals with gray quartz and strong black clustering, and the two are level at ₱2,800 per sqm here. Same pink family, several times the scale, and far more contrast.

Beige Porrino is the warm neutral

Beige Porrino trades the pink for cream and ivory at a medium grain, landing between the two on scale, at ₱3,300 per sqm. It is the safer call if pink feels like a commitment.

Caesar White is the cool option

Caesar White runs cooler and paler than any of the three, at ₱3,300 per sqm. Take it for a contemporary kitchen where the warmth in this stone would drag the scheme the wrong way.

What Colours Go With Baby Pink Granite?

A soft warm counter that flatters more than it dictates.

The blush stays subtle enough that the slab behaves like a warm neutral rather than a pink. Most schemes will take it, though it does have a temperature and the room around it has to agree.

Cream, ivory and warm white cabinetry give the most natural result, letting the counter warm a kitchen without asking for attention.

Timber sits well against it, lighter species especially. Oak and ash share the warmth, while a very dark walnut can leave the blush looking washed out rather than soft.

Cool gray is where it struggles. Gray doors against a pink-leaning counter often look accidental, and stark white can make the stone read dirty rather than warm. Where the kitchen is committed to gray, Caesar White is the cooler stone at ₱3,300 per sqm. Brass and bronze suit the handles best.

Frequently Asked Questions

How pink is Baby Pink granite really?

Gently. From standing height it reads as a warm pale counter, and the blush only becomes obvious close up or beside something cool and white. Anyone after a clearly pink stone should be looking at Pink Porrino instead.

What is the difference between Baby Pink and Pink Porrino?

Scale. Both are pink granites and both run ₱2,800 per sqm in CDO, but this one keeps a fine, tight, even grain where Pink Porrino carries large chunky salmon crystals with strong black clustering. Quiet one and bold one, at the same rate.

Does Baby Pink granite need sealing?

Yes. Oil and red wine can penetrate a pale ground and leave a dark patch behind. Our crew seals it on installation; after that, a few drops of water on an inconspicuous spot, twice a year at most, will tell you whether it is due, and you reseal only when the stone darkens underneath.

Can you put a hot pan on Baby Pink granite?

Yes. Nothing in it can scorch, because no resin holds the slab together, so a pan off the burner leaves neither burn nor discolouration. Thermal shock on a cold slab still argues for a trivet, and this stays granite’s clearest edge over engineered quartz.

Does it show crumbs and water marks?

Yes, more than a coarse or dark stone would. A fine pale grain has very little going on to break up everyday mess. All of it wipes away, but a busy kitchen will be wiping more often.

Does it etch like marble?

No. The chemistry is silicate rather than calcium carbonate, so acid has nothing in the polish to dissolve. Calamansi, vinegar and wine sit on it harmlessly, where a marble would go dull almost at once.

Can Baby Pink granite be used outdoors?

Yes. Colour holds in full sun, where engineered quartz yellows instead, so lanai counters, outdoor kitchens and poolside runs are all fair game. Keep up with the water test, since stone outdoors works harder.

Where can you buy Baby Pink granite in Cagayan de Oro?

Stone Depot, from the Cagayan de Oro yard. It is stocked rather than ordered in, so you can walk the racks and pick the slab your counter comes from, and what is on the floor turns over through the year.

Bring your cabinet samples when you come, because how pink this one reads depends heavily on the light falling on it. The yard is open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and the rest of the granite range in CDO is on the same floor.
